Bloggers Hell

expatbrit49 posted this blog I about AdultFriendFinder’s failing blogging service and asked for other bloggers input so he could include their concerns in his next letter to AdultFriendFinder customer service.

Another blogger BigGirlzRSweet came to my blog KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK and commented and I quote,

“AdultFriendFinder is hopelessly behind in the blog postings. This is a recent development, I think. When I first started blogging just over two months ago, I could post a blog, wait a few minutes, refresh the page, and see my name on the new blogs list.

Perhaps they fired the blog approvers. Now they are down to one lone blog man... and he's on a smoke break.

I've emailed them, but it doesn't help. They are satisfied that my name appears buried on page 3 of the 'recent blogs' view all list.

And the thing is... I'm not someone who is getting her blog read regularly by many people. I NEED people to see me on that damned new blog list... lol.

I say we stage a revolt. Let's all blog about AFFs incompetency together on the same day... lol.”

The day I posted KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK I also sent a letter to AdultFriendFinder customer service:

Date: 10/16/2005

I find it very frustrating that when I post a blog sometimes I wait hours even days for it to post.

As a paying member of this site, I expect a more efficient server. I understand there are many bloggers and the numbers grow everyday, but I really feel that
AdultFriendFinder needs to improve their soft/hardware for this site.

I posted two blogs this morning at 11:34 and 11:37 and neither of them are showing to others at 6:06pm.

This is one bug in the blogging area that frustrates me. Others that need attention are:

...When posting a blog or a comment, sometimes they don't post, or hell sometimes two and three of the same remarks show up.

...When entering a time into a blog such as 8:04 the emoticons take over and put stupid smilies in the blogs.

...your blog posts twice.
...when you try to delete a blog is reappears
...the photos you attach to your blog disappear click a link and are taken to the log in screen and you have to relog in can't write in paragraphs for your profile. can't write in paragraphs for your blog explanation.

Some of these have been addressed by AdultFriendFinder, and others have not. I certainly hope there is an improvement before I have to decide to be a non-paying member.

I know several paying members are just standard members now.

Sad that this fine site would lose customers because AdultFriendFinder can't keep up with the load of members.

AdultFriendFinder Customer Support sent me the following email.

Dear Member,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions(please leave some space when you are using the letter : , for example 8:04 to 8 : 0 4, because it might get confused with the emoticon ). We have passed along your message to the appropriate teams for review and consideration. Member feedback is one of the most important considerations when adding new features and making improvements to our site.

Thank you,

Jerry L.

Hi Dust... Count me in..tell me when!!

The other day...Sunday I think it was Sunday the 16th... I updated my profile...and I used COLOR..and a couple of different sizes of TEXT...and my profile was
......... rejected/denied/banned...
because.....I had used HTML tags.

Now get this....before I updated it...and used more HTML tags...I had already had "tags" on it. I thought..WTF...why???? why???? why????

I was pissed...but ended up taking the commands now it's just friggin BORING plain old text.

Why can't people jazz up their profiles...why is it only ok in the blog...but no where else?

Plus I've experienced a lot of the other problems already mentioned. Several months ago...I asked a very simple question on my blog...asking if anyone else experienced "stuff"...IE : slow...and/or getting kicked off of the _____ and having to sign back in...and having to keep trying to get something to "stick"... and it was rejected/denied...etc... which threw me into an absolute hissy fit..and I went round and round with'em...ended up getting $$$ paid back..and stayed a plain member for a fairly long while. I agree things need to be better...we pay for it to be so it ought to be.

Let me know...ok.

~~~ Just me, poppin to say HI! ~~
I suppose I'll be an advocate for getting everyone to write to customer service on the same day, and see if they take notice to our concerns then, slidein2meplz.
I was wondering about that expatbrit49 from your blog, their reply to you didn't really make sense.
