Eating Meat

God I love using suggestive titles to get attention.

I hardly ever eat red meat - but today I just felt I needed something to go w/my veggies instead of more veggies or chicken - so - I took myself off to the supermarket and went to the meat counter - you know - the one where the real good meat is and you can buy one teeny tiny little piece of meat - and I picked out this little 4.87 oz filet mignon - oh - it was soo cute and tender looking - so - I took that baby home and stuck it in my clay pan and broiled that sucker until it was dark brown on the outside but still oozing juice and ate it w/a ear of fresh red corn on the cob and a nice cucumber and tomato salad w/a nice glass of red wine - I feel soo good - it was the perfect pick-me-up on a nice cool end of summer day.

My dinner companion was a great book.

Life sometimes is good even when you are alone.

I find that if you marinate me for about an hour before cooking, I come out just right! lol Like I said, the invitation is there, I will come to PA and indulge in meat with you lovely ladies, or be the meat. lol

do you have a favorite marinate - mine is hemp oil - it has just the right degree of slide without being greasy - it's awesome for massages - all kinds of massages - great meat tenderizing massages

As for Jazz and I sharing a meal - we have - but there was a table in between us and we had all of our clothes on - not sure we have developed our relationship enough to share a willie sandwich - Jazz - what do you think

Na - I am sure we wouldn't want to do that - we will just have to be VERY careful and take our time - nice and slow and easy - make sure the meat is nice and tender.

Books are often the best companions, they take you to all sorts of places you would like to go...Nice vision.

ya - nothing like a good book - it's a time machine, cheaper than air-fare and allows you to experience things you most likely never would.

Druid, anytime you want a dinner companion, you just let me know! I would be happy to endulge in the eating of meat with you! lol

I was going to say something to the effect that I may hold you to that but Jazz beat me to it - I wonder if she is right - about it being too much - you could be the main course and we could be the side dishes - sounds like a full meal to me.

Damn. I'm jealous. I went looking for some red meat when I went grocery shopping today. Nothing looked appealing. Maybe it was because for some odd reason I had a hankering for buffalo... He he he.

Anywho, sounds absolutely yummy! I'd have probably had it with sauteed sweet onions and seasoned baby red potatoes.

That also reminds me, I have no red wine in the house! It's almost sacralige. I only have some white dessert wine. I guess I should go shopping for more sometime.

But isn't it amazing how much more fun it is to cook for yourself? You don't have to worry what anyone else likes. You can just make yourself happy.

ya - that's true - you can be totally selfish. It's the pitying looks you get from the people behind the counter that kinda get to me. Oh - poor old lady - all alone - one tiny steak kinda marks you as - totally alone - ya well - I know I have people in my life - just not today - so I get passed it - eventually
