Why? Why not?

Yesterday was another day of business madness- meetings, continuing ed classes, phone calls, emails... Not that it was unusual, but since I've been on this schedule for the last week I thought today would be a good day to eat when I want to, think when I want to, use the bathroom when I want to, and other general things in life that humans tend to do.

I'm just glad that 5 years from now I'll be able to retire. How many people will have that opportunity?

It amazes me that some people live their entire lives under this kind of schedule and end up having nothing to show for it. Why do 98% of Americans end up dead or dead broke by the time they are of retirement age?

If I were to work like this in my last job I know I would still be paid the same. That would really suck! Why wouldn't I make a step for change?

I like the quote by Helen Keller, "Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature nor do the children of man as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing."

That's coming from someone who was treated poorly as a child because she was blind, deaf, and dumb, yet became a world famous auther and speaker.

My hope is that those who are too afraid of moving forward will take the next step in the face of their fears. Then the next step. With each successive step they'll come to realize what leaders have found out through their own struggles. 99% of what you worry about never happens!

Thanks for visiting. Don't let life pass you by... Go get life!
