Two things....

That people will ALWAYS have a difference of opinion about....Religion & Politics.

These are the TWO things that will create devides all across the globe.

Everyone has their OWN views,& beliefs, which should be respected by others at all times.

It's unfortunate that when these opinions & beliefs are NOT respected, that we have silly wars,& millions of people die uneccessarily.

Why can't we ALL just get along!?

I was at a BBQ the other day & we began a discussion about various topics, which ultimately turned to Religion, then Politics,& then Sex,ALL in the SAME conversation. How did that happen???

Somehow, someway,MOST conversations end up discussing at least ONE of the Three.

Now i'm one for a good debate,& i LOVE to talk about sex,(as well as do it..lol....),but I just seem to loose interest very quickly when the subject of either Religion OR Politics comes up.

I also hate it when someone tries to push their beliefs onto me,& does'nt respect my beliefs,as i do theirs. That just gets me pissed off..& i'm in danger of turning green!!..lol

Are YOU the same? What do YOU think about it?

I'm interested to know! Thanks for your thoughts,& your visit.

I don't discuss politics on my blog, because that's not what it's for, for me {although I do read fastfifties and missannthrope, who do discuss it a lot}. I have purposely 'pissed off' Baptists, Hari Krisnas, and Jehovah's Witnesses and a host of others {equal opportunity person that I am! } but it was because, as you said, I won't put up with it being shoved in my face. JW's, in particular, don't even know about other people's religions enough, so busy are they trying to shove their own on to other people. I definitely don't mind someone talking about their religion or politics, because that is part of them, their belief system, etcetera, and helps me to understand them; I want to know their opinions on things...but I want to understand them not be browbeaten into accepting them for ME.

Religion and politics are two topics i tend not to get involved in when being discussed, ea to our own, and cant change anyones mind anyway and shouldnt try really..along with abortion, try never to discuss that either...x
Yes i have to agree,it's best to leave them to their thoughts about them.

Abortion is another subject, thats true, but that does'nt tend to cause wars, just heated debates.

Thanks again for your post.
