The cracked pot......

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots that she used to fetch water in.Each pot hung on either end of a pole which she carried across her shoulders.

One of the pots was cracked, thus leaked some water while on her travels, the other pot was perfect,& delivered a full portion of water on every trip.At the end of each trip in returning to the house, the cracked pot was always just half full.

For two full years, this went on day after day.Always the woman would arrive home with a pot & a half of water.Of course the perfect pot was always proud of it's achievements in delivering a full pot of water every day.

The poor cracked pot was ashamed of it's acomplishments & remained miserable of it's imperfection,& the fact that it could only deliver just half a pot full of water. It felt only half it's worth as a pot should feel.

After two years of what it percieved as a failure, the cracked pot spoke to the woman one day by the stream."I am ashamed of myself because this crack in my side causes water to leak from me all the way to your house"

The old Chinese woman smiled at the pot & said..

"Have you noticed that there are flowers aligning the path all the way to my house,on your side of the path, but NOT on the other side of the path?"
(The side of the perfect pot)

"Thats because i knew of your flaw,& i planted flower seeds along your side of the path.Every day as we pass by ,you water them for me,& they have flourished. For two years i have been able to pick these beautiful flowers,to decorate my table & house with them.Without you being the way you are,& having the flaws that you have, there would NOT be the beauty that graces my house.I am happy for you to be this way!"

The moral of this little story is that each of us have our own unique flaws. It's the cracks & the flaws that defines just who we are,& makes our lives so very interesting & rewarding.

Learn to take each person for who they are, accept their flaws,& look for the good that is in everyone.

"To ALL of my crackpot friends here on AdultFriendFinder.....

Have a great day & remember to smell the flowers!"

Take care,

What a lovely blog. I find it very easy to accept people for who and what they are - flaws and all. The only person's flaws that make me sad and disappointed are.......... MINE!!!

Perhaps one day I'll accept them, but till then I'll always strive to get rid of them lol!!
