hug a bank teller

Today is pay day for lots of folks... it is also a holiday weekend..for us yanks.. and it is the first of the month... the most dreaded time for any bank teller.. every bank teller makes mistakes.. don't you?? so..if your bank teller puts the money in savings and not checking.. did you tell her..or did you assume she would know? when you go to the bank with your pay check... and you are going to deposit some.. do you do goofy things? like put PART of your change and still get coin back? please..do me a huge favor.. if you make any type of deposit... put it all in... don't give me that crap about 'balancing the check book" you don't go to sears and say.. oh the bill is 10.57? i'll write the check for 11.00 because i want to balance... geez. and here is another quirk ... if you get out more then say...300 bucks.. be a big boy/girl.. take some big bills.. don't say.. no one takes 50's or 100's... where you been? EVERYONE even gas stations take larger bills now.. and did you know that they can't refuse you? if you have legal tender they HAVE to take it... i had four people in a row want over 1,000 dollars 3 in 20's and one in 10"s!!!!!! geez o pete.. line out the door..i have to order tens... and count them...
Okay...I'm done with my vent.. I don't usually get like this... but if I can make just one tellers' job easier next week... i'll be happy so... am I the biggest whiner today or what.... I'll try to come up with a happier blog next time..i promise

I dunno about that. I can't get any fast-food place to accept a $50 after 10 PM, and my apartment complex won't accept cash at all to pay my rent--has to be a check or money order....they've included that in the rental agreement.....

Well I can certainly understand where your coming from, having worked in several places that handles large amounts of cash, but you won't be the biggest whiner tonight, I have a toothache! I'm such a baby.

We're all entitled to vent once in awhile. If it makes you feel any better, I do 99% of all my transactions online. I only see a teller once a month.

You would like me then. When I do tap out cash, I always take larger bills!! A teller at my credit union who I wanted to take out to lunch tomorrow, I needed a $50 from my account & saw her getting like 2 $20 & 1 $10. I said "You wouldn't happen to have a $50" & she got this great smile on her face that I would ask. Any time I'm taking out a large amount, I usually prefer larger bills (only time I don't is if I'm having a garage sale & need "change").

I always treat the tellers nice - not only because I love doing so but also they treat me better as well. They are human & if I was on the other side, I would want to be treated nice.

I apply that to everywhere I go - even fast food places!

Thank you & please go a long with people working behind any counter!!

but..smosmof...that's my point... why do you need 2000.00 dollars in twenties when you know you are'nt paying car payments or rent with that money??? I know that a person needs some small bills ... got to love fast food after hours...

Just need to make sure to get some biscuits for my dog!! So many tellers love him, some give him several but of course no treats for me.

I joked that that's why some banks charge fees - it's to pay for the dog treats & lollipops

Thanks,
Coug

long weekend and pay day...yikes...well just think they are all standing naked and give out your best smile and have some rhum and coke below the counter, hehehehe...
Hope all is well with you and the niece!!!

The first of any month was a good thing when I was running the convenience store; government benefit checks, people restless for the previous three weeks trying to stretch things til the next check... I'd plan for that first weekend of the month and would usually see huge spikes in sales... especially for the lottery!

What a WHINER! Oh, lord!
You're in air-conditioned heaven!

I've got a heat-rash all over the back of my neck from working in 110+ heat with extreme humidity for 12 hrs Friday.
I'll be to embarressed to go anywhere all weekend. I'm just hoping I can get it to go away before the weekend's over, otherwise, it'll get even worse! It's kinda crusty, right now.

So....you were saying? You had to count money?
Wow!

LOL!

I had to go to a different on that likes him more (one branch gives out limited, the other likes he so much he has been known to receive up to 3 large biscuits).

I usually grab a Dum-Dum at banks when I get my sweet tooth! They are there for the taking vesus them giving them out. Now if they only had a basket of money

He was abused by his previous owner - he can be sketchy at times but still friendly (loves to have his chest rubbed, he will paw at your arm for a chest rub).

Most like picture books pop-up books can be scary because of the moving images
