Tilt my head
Up to the sky
Raindrops dance
upon my cheeks,
to mingle with
the teardrops there.
Grey sky reflecting
pain of a darkened soul.
To scream,
to rage,
to fight,
to run.
It's useless.
The past can't be undone.
And so I'll stand
and cry silently
in the storm.

Interesting the things that a rain storm can bring to mind, good and bad. Cry, let it out. That is the only way that one gets a step closer to letting go, to clearing the soul and making room for the constant good. And one day, you will awake and suddenly the pain will no longer exhist. It will become a distant echo that will fade and become unnoticable. And all will be well

Let the tears be washed away so that when the clouds begin to clear...you can see the sunlight with unclouded eyes. And dance on the clifftops under a rainbow.

the sunlight will once again dance upon your face
and the wind will blow away the memories that haunt you
you are strong enough to stand against the storm
you won't melt in the rain

Dasher - Constant good? Such a precious and beautiful gift to me. Something I will give thanks for and cherish always.
The arms around me that hold me steady when the wind blows. No worries, all is well.

Sensual and elysian - Beautifully written! The two of you could have continued adding on to that poem. Such hopeful images you describe. Thank you.

Undoing the pain is impossible.
Its a matter of overcoming and out growing the pain.

I am not dead yet

Rain can be cleansing to wash away the pain. Sometimes its best to wait out the storm right in the middle of it. and when you survive it you come out into the sun stronger and better than you once were.

The past might be awful but without it you would not be the wonderful person you are today. When did you start speaking Latin?

Bard - The past never goes away, as much as we may want it to, huh? But it makes us who we are today, hones our strengths.
As much as I may know this, it would be a much harder road to walk without the support and love of my friends (and yes, you dork, you're one of them). Thank you for all you've done.

Night - Once again I am left in wonderment of how closely our thoughts run parallel. You also are one of those whose support and presence has been a blessing over the past few months.
Glad you decided to stay with us.

Saintli - Just remember that the same is true for you as well. The trials and wounds of the past make you the strong and beautiful Saint that we all love.

Amor, lux, veritas - sic itur ad astra
Love, light, truth - such is the way to the stars.
It's one of my favorite quotes.
