Rambling & roving & roaming

Well, contrary to the title I'm actually feeling rather content ... or was until I turned on some music, got up to get my pistachio pudding and started thinking.

And I think I'm going to start sharing my thoughts starting with labels .... I hate labels (& names by extension) - and I don't just means the ones that are poular/ polictically corect/in vogue to hate. (think the label 'nigger' )

Nope I hate all of them ...yes their convient and needed for meaningful communication, but I'd say they also cause a vast majority of the problems too.

Say we take the label 'femminist', now there are many varieties yet they all get grouped into one one category and labeled as femminists -don't get me wrong I'm all for women's rights and all that razzamajaz, but I'm also for mens' rights (is there even a label to describe someone like that? ) .. so depending on who's definition is being used that would mean I'm not a feminist where as by others I would be ... and lo and behold we've got a issue that is likely to cause discord ...especially when everyone feels like they have to be 'right' ...and if there isn't communication and comprise then things can escalte to an arguement on to a fight and may eventually start a war ... actually that might be kind of humorous (in a rather grim way) cause for a war .. 'Is Complexly a femminist or not?' ...

.... Then again that's the way many wars/disagreements seem to have started. The uncomprimising points of people ... and if it gets to be great enough or at high enough level then we get wars...

Which brings up a few interesting thoughts ...why do people put so much importance on who the 'leader' - another filthy label- is? (or what they do for that matter)

Sure they set the course for their group/country/company/whatever but that doesn't mean it has to be followed ...which I suppose would be considered a muntiny or rebellion ..but hey whatever works.

Nope if anything the greater someone's power/status/enghlightenment/(whatever measure you wish) odds are ther greater the problems they are going to have to deal with on an everyday basis ... I mean here you are with the ability to do something large (for lack of a better word) and yet if you move to do that it means causing change ..and not many people really enjoy change - at least not too much.

Think of being the President of the US (now there's an office that can take years off your life just from stress) .. here you are with the resources of a global 'superpower' and the ability to (possibly) change the world with little more than a phone call .. starting a war, saving a nation ...whatever. now if you try and do something too stupid (by their definition) odds are you could have people start to ignore you ...or start a confilct internally (maybe even a civil war).

So do you do what you believe to be right and hope others will have faith in what you're doing or do you play the stereotypical politician and just do whatever the people want right now. - But wait before you answer, ask yourself do people really know what they want or what might be best for the world ...heck forget the world do they know what might be best for them?

Just some thoughts I have on occasion except I don't usually stop at a presidency....

That seems a rather mish-mash of thoughts ..perhaps I'll stop while I'm ahead/behind/whatever ...besides there might be something there to think about ..really depends who you are and what you want .... or think you want

WOW. You need to get out more and have some fun...with real people. go volunteer with the Boy Scouts or a local Church's youth group and help supervise a mini-golf expedition with the kids or something. You'd be amazed at 1.) how many den mothers there are (some even available), 2.) how many single (available) women you'll meet, and 3.) kids can be a chick magnet (you're young, the women are breeding age...they see you playing with kids, they think you'd do that with your own kids, maybe their kids)...might lead to some fun for you. If nothing else it would get your mind totally in the moment instead of being so damned philisophical (interesting topic BTW).

Just think you need to lighten up or stop smoking whatever it is that your smoking. Your given and sir names are labels, calling a building a building is a label. They're called nouns. Some are more annoying than others. Let it go.

Like your light and fun posts much better.

.. yeah I supoose it may come across as being rather deep ...though for me it's almost kind of normal(?) ....and no smoking anything ... maybe I should though

I've thought of volunteering, but to tell the truth I'm not really sure what kids are into ... me and my two younger brothers are more or less bookworms that have watched rated R movies since we were 7 or 8 years old .. so I'm really not sure I should be around kids all that much - at least not alone - since I really don't know what kids of any age should or shouldn't be doing....

I like pistachios, but not too fond of the pudding. Thinking can get you into trouble; sometimes out, but usually only useful for confusing everyone else! Labels are bad, evil things...everyone thinks of a label/word in the context of their own upbringing, experiences, teachings, etcetera...and everyone is different; it's a wonder humans can ever effectively communicate at all sometimes.

CS is an understanding, compassionate male human being who doesn't care {and shouldn't} whether anyone thinks he is or is not a 'feminist'. As for 'leader', it's because so many people are sheep and they are seeking the 'one and only, all powerful shephard'. If they thought for themselves too much or at all, it would give them a headache or some other minor inconvenience...and we can't have that, now can we? 'Mommy' has to kiss the boo boo and make it all better and all gone gone....

People may or may not usually know what is best for themselves {rarely, IMO, do they}, but then again it's the 'what's best for the majority without denying too much to the minority' type of thing -- and very few people would be able to see the 'whole picture' of something simple like the dynamics of a family or relationship of whatever type, and especially not the inter-related dynamics of a whole macro-economic society such as a country.

It's a 'bitch' to be able to think like that, isn't it? Not many people understand, and fewer still than that understand what you think in relation to how you are. I like whatever you write, about anything...and that's not just trying to get in your pants kind of comment {not that I would turn down the offer/chance...it's just that I don't flirt to bolster your confidence, as a come on, etcetera...I say what I say about you because it is my opinion of you/your personality/your writing etcetera...and I flirt cuz I think you have an amazing mind...and you're cute! }

Glad to see you found the time and wanted to come in and post...I know you're in the semi-sabbatical stage and all. Nice to come in on my birthday and find a new post!

yanno that makes way too much sense ... and to tell the truth I'm not sure people really do -or can - communicate all that well it's a lot like relativity in physics from the way I see it ...except worse ... ...much worse ..the funny thing is while people may look for a 'great shephard' they really don't need one ... I think it just takes the average person 50 or 60 years to realize that though ... which makes me wonder how it'd be possible to fast forward that ....or if it should be done
