Is it all fair?

Sometimes I feel like I am racing against some unseen opponent...just tryin' to keep it together...

Sometimes at the end of the day I feel like I am running on empty...that I have nothing left to give...that there is not anytime for then I have to ask the question is...

All in Love is Fair
sung by Michael McDonald
off his Motown Album

All is fair in love
Love's a crazy game
Two people vow to stay
In love as one they say

But all is changed with time
The future no one can see
The road you leave behind
Ahead lies mystery

But all is fair in love
I had to go away
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair

All of fate's a chance
It's either good or bad
I tossed my coin to say
In love with me you'd stay

But all in war is so cold
You either win or lose
When all is put away
The loosing side I'll play

But all is fair in love
I should never have left your side
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair

A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair

Dreaming that maybe the love I feel I have lost will find it's way back to me while I sleep...

Only time will tell. Keep moving forward and someday you will have peace about it.

Most things work out for the best in the end. You have to believe that because, most times there is nothing you can do to change it anyway.

It seems to be a rare sight indeed for the type of love you might inititally see blossom forth from something new last much longer than a two year span or so. But luckily I have seen an handfull of examples of it truly lasting much longer than that. But even those all seemed to have some rough areas on their road together.

Both my parents and my brother and his wife have provided quite excellent examples that this truly can exist. But still it does seem to be quite the rare situation.

But somehow comforting still to have those very close examples to sort of give me faith in it's real possibility.

Wow, C...I think is the first time I've come to your blog and seen a song I don't Michael McDonald, tho....

At the end of the day sometimes we just really need to crash and burn...get it all out of our system, then wake up again and tackle the next day.
