The trials of being a standard member

I wrote what I thought was a fairly spikey profile and I purposely haven't put any photos up with the intention of avoiding an avalanche of tasteless emails.

Even so, every time I'm online I find I have another four or five messages in my inbox. Now, call me old fashioned, but I think that if someone makes the effort to contact me then I owe them the courtesy of a reply.

This afternoon I set about replying to the most recent 40 messages. Nearing the end, I sent a msg and had the screen refresh asking for me to enter the three number code. I did and it came back with the same screen again. I realised that I must have used up my quota of messages. And I'd been judicious in using quick replies to the no hopers.

I searched all over the site and can't find out what the quota of messages is for a standard member. I could upgrade to silver, but I'm not sure I want to pay for being higher up a search that will lead to more faceless genital pics (yawn).

So, if you're reading this blog after mailing me, and wondering why I haven't replied, it's probably because I want to write to you but haven't got any allowance left. If I'm not interested then you would have had a quick reply by now. Ok?

I feel so honoured that you used up one of your emails to say No Thanks! I think your allowance might be ten a day. I didn't expect such polite treatment, so if you wanted to use that one to say YES Thanks to someone, I wouldn't have been offended

I write the type of email you can't stand. I know how much women absolutely hate the "I'm traveling to your city..." messages, so I write lots of those in a way that should not be taken seriously.

Once I got the nicest No Thanks message out of the blue. I wrote back to the woman and we became friends. There is something to be said for replying to as much as possible.
