Had a hell of a fright!

It's 1.24 am. I worked late - arriving home around an hour and a half ago. I checked my emails and there was a robust reply from a colleague in the US about a project we are working on that is slipping.

It's all to do with communication. My first instinct was to leave it and call him tomorrow afternoon. However that wouldn't communicate how indignant I feel about some of his points (where he's plain wrong).

To cut a long story short, after sending the mail I thought I'd just visit my blog and check out the comments. On logging in the welcome screen showed "blog posts 0, comments 0." What? My first response was "who's wiped out all that stuff" - in the overall scheme of things it may not be that important, but I'm not ready to let go yet.

Fearing the worst, I clicked the link to be relieved to find that it's all still here!

Perhaps the two are related - the AdultFriendFinder glitch a metaphor for the robust message from the colleague? Indication of impending crisis but all well when you get to relevant page?

My heart rate is returning to normal, however I'm surprised at the shock I experienced.

And I can't get into IM again. grrr

Don't mess with a woman who's had a long, hard day. Get some rest and hopefully tomorrow will be better.

From your post I can't tell whether you are more stressed about work or AdultFriendFinder?

I sympathize with you, my internet connection keeps dropping out and has been doing it for the last four days. Yesterday I decided enough was enough and gave BT a call. After choosing options 1, 3, 5, 2, 5, 1, 4, 2, 5, 5 and 3 I sat on hold for 10 minutes before getting through to an 'agent' in India. The 'agent' in India asked me to turn my pc and router off and turn it back on again. I asked him if he thought that I hadn't already tried this?! Anyway, I humoured him for 15 minutes while we went through all routine stuff that I, as qualified computer network administrator, had already gone through, only to be told that they were going to sent me another router. Thanks for the help BT and thanks for covering the cost of the router through my phone bill!

I'm also sat at home, on full pay, waiting for a job placement. Lucky git I hear you say. Well, I'm an active person and sitting around too long drives me mad. Especially since I seem to be addicted to AdultFriendFinder but my internet connection keeps going!

But, after all that, I read your post and thank my lucky stars that I don't finish work at the time you do. When am I ever going to get to take you to the theater and my favourite restaurant if you work so late?

Well, work is important and AdultFriendFinder is about enjoyment. I was surprised that I reacted the same as if I had lost all the (important) data on my pc.

Time to go to a theatre or restaurant? Get real! Why do you think I'm single? lol

Have now had several more emails with my colleague in the US, who kindly worked as late as I did, and we're getting sorted out.

lol! I never asked if you were single, it's not something that bothers me. I alo think I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't accept a proposal from someone you haven't spent time getting to know online. Had I thought it was a possiblity though, I would've dressed it up far better than that I'm sure it got a smile though.

Well I'm glad the project is going OK - AdultFriendFinder blogs are great, but projects pay the bills!

Chris thanks for the support and understanding. As Liza Minelli sang in Cabaret - "Money makes the world go around"
