Blog Airways

I dropped my mum off at the airport this morning, ridiculuously early for a bank holiday weekend, when I should be catching up on some sleep - too much late night Blogging and early morning starts.
Anyway, I love going to an airport even if I'm not flying, it just an exciting place being a people watcher, wondering where everyone is going, seeing different nationalities etc.....it would be nice to be amongst the jetset. I thinks because I spent so much time travelling as a child with my parents working overseas.

So I want to know blogger where would you like to go, come on give me some destination exotica....anywhere you like if you had the choice - tell me your dream destination.

We landed in Sarasota and Sail said "Look at all the white hairs" I looked around and every single person was 60 or older. It was too funny!!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways -Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, 'WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

Sadly I've never left the UK, so anywhere in the world would be amazing for me I want to see it all.

If I had to choose it would have to be Venice the city of romance, or anywhere in the US, there are so many people over there I would love to meet.

Hi sassybelle,
I had a boarding pass stub from a trip to america in my wallet for two years - couldn't bring myself to throw it. I would recommend Las Vegas as a place to visit, its mind blowing, tacky but on such a grand scale its a wonder of the modern world. You won't want to sleep (especially if you take you lover!)
Great to hear from you, drop in from time to time

I wanna go to Rome or Italy. I'm really into mythology and going to Rome would be awesome.
Hi Farm girl, good call, I see I've found a fellow lover of classical history, sometimes thing I was born in the wrong time. Rome is awesome as you say, I've never been but intend to one day, friends of mine recommend a mountain biking tour of Rome - sounds crazy but you see so much more than you would from a tour bus or on foot.....thanks again

So what would I do,
well I've got a taste for adventure, a keen scuba diver and some time climber. So, on the list would be, well not too far away - the west coast of Ireland is beautiful on land or under the sea.
Farther afield, diving in the Cocos Islands when the Hammerheads gather at this pacific atoll. On the list must also be Nepal, buddhist temples and mounatins - fabuluous.

How did you know about the ball? February is the time of year I would LOVE to go!

I won't tell anyone about Bamborough if you don't (Think I spelled it wrong too) It's 10 mins down the road from me and I have been many times.

I would truly wish to travel, it's one of my life ambitions I have not achieved as of YET!

Wow! how absolutely amazing and adventurous, I'd be interested to know how close you got -Isn't there a place called the 'mountains of the moon' that are in uganda too. The only shame is that the market for bushmeat threatens these fabuluous animals, I hope they survive. I used to live in Africa as a child when my Dad worked in Serra Leone, not such a nice place nowadays. I remember being absolutely terrified of the locals when they dressed up as 'devil dancers' for obvious reasons, in fact I believe they were scaring bad spirits off! My Mum and step Dad went on to live in Gambia, we went on a trip into the bush one day, the funniest part was my step Dad walking into a column of army ants and dropping his jeans and undies to pluck the soldier ants off his legs! There were chimpanzees thrashing about in the trees - quite frightening, I thought they all looked like cheetah off tarzan, but no!
I'd love to live ina Buddhist temple in thailand or anywhere, what an experience - hope you manage to do it. Will be in touch.
