Untiring Love!

This is a true story that happened in Japan.
In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan tears open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, a man found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside was hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time he is curious. When he checked the nail, turns out it was nailed ten years ago when the house was first built. What happened? The lizard had survived in such a position for ten years! In a dark wall partition for ten years without moving, it is impossible and mind boggling!! Then he wondered how this lizard survived for ten years without moving a single step~~~since its foot was nailed!! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ahh! He was stunned and at the same time, touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by the nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past ten years.... Such love, such a beautiful love!! Such love happened with this tiny creature.... What can love do? It can do wonders! Love can do miracles! Imagine....the lizard has been feeding the other untiringly for ten long years, without giving up hope on its partner. Imagine...if a small creature (like the lizard) can do this, what a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't do. I was touched when I read this story more than a year ago, in a tabloid type of newspaper. Each time I read the story, I think of my relationships...between family members, friends, lovers... As information and communication technology advances, our access to information becomes faster and faster. But the distance between we human beings...well, is it getting closer? Are you willing to stand tall enough, no matter what, to never abandon your loved ones?

One would hope that when I say those words that I completely and honestly mean them and that I would do anything in the world, regardless of what it might cause, for them. Until then, I am content with me.

Until later
