Hurricane Rita Update Part 5

I finally was able to reach my ex-wife by her cell phone last night. She also had been trying to phone me with no luck.

She has taken the news of the damage to her home (the one we bought together when we was married) in good spirits. She knew there would be some damage to the house. She has thanked God for the damage and that all of her possessions are still in the house, and that the pets are safe and secure. She did not like leaving them behind, but she had no choice.

When you have to flee your home from a hurricane, you can only bring a small amount with you and pray that everything is still there when you return home.
It is a normal way of life in South LA and all along the Gulf of Mexico coast.

I am exhuasted and in severe pain. I did not take the time to go to the hospital to see a doctor yesterday. I will try again today to see if I can see my doctor in his office.

I just laid down for a couple of hours, and had to get out of bed. I do not like taking it all the time because of the side affects and some are addictive. It does affect me mentally, and it is so expensive. I do not have any prescription insurance. I receive a little bit too much money a month from S S Disability to get Medicaid assistance. In Feb. it cost me over $500.00 for my prescriptions.

Take care.

Cajun, this is terrible! The cost of medical coverage is
simply insane! On the other hand better pay or even be
in debt than be in pain or put your life in danger!
