Two poems

These are two poems I just wrote, my first post. Thank you for reading them. Sure would like your comments.

RED LADY

Red goddess, body of light,
Naked, adorned with jewels.
Standing on the sun on her left leg,
Right leg raised
Showing her secret place.
Holding up a hooked knife in her right hand
Offering a cup of soothing elixir in her left hand.
She will cut off your head
If you are not straight with her.
She has done that many times.
Don’t be afraid.
Go ahead.
Embrace her.

SPRING HEAT RISING

Oh my, can’t be spring again!
Birds flitting back and forth outside my window.
Chorus of frogs calling for mates,
Ribit ribit ribit honey honey honey
I’m over here.
Lying in my bed alone
Honey honey honey honey honey
I’m right here.
Please find me.

Your poem... Red Lady brings to mind the magnificence of Kali
...if you know not of Kali, parts of you may be calling
out to understand her on yet another level...so many fear
Her and yet many revere her and I find that she is alive and
well in many of us...and her energy is frequently involved
when great changes present themselves in our lives

Write, beautiful one, write...
and welcome to Blogland

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

Thanks Goddess.
I will try to learn more about Kali. The poem is actually inspired by the Tibetan Vajraya Buddhist deity Vajrayogini.
Yes, I do feel energy rising and that change is coming for me.

Welcome. Glad you decided to start.
Red Lady made me think of the Red Queen - Off with her head! Ala Alice in Wonderland. Not what you meant I'm sure but that's the way my mind works. Little things, strange connections.

I liked spring. I know the call of the frogs. I could hear them in my head. I just never knew what they were saying.

Keep up the good work.
