Dream Concert?

We are ready to rock to the sounds of...

Carrrrlos Santana.

I've been a fan of Santana since my parents introduced me to "Abraxas" back in the '70s, but I'd never heard Santana live. I find it amazing how many times Carlos has reinvented the group's sound, always keeping it fresh. Clearly, the man plays from his passion for music.

It was a dreamy night, balmy and warm under the quarter moon at the open-air Santa Barbara County Bowl.

Carlos beams love, and the smoke-high cholos in front of me were receiving it with their hands in the air. To receive the love apparently requires that you stand, put one hand in the air with only certain fingers open as antennas and a big wide grin on your face.

My way to receive the love involves gyrating my hips, shimmying my shoulders and ogling the new vocalist Andy Vargas, a 20-ish hottie. I can still feel the sound vibrations from the bass pounding from the speakers that were right in front of me on the stage.

No matter the differences. We all got the love at this Latino faith revival meeting. Unity. Peace Out.

P.S.--I'm heading off for 11 days of hanging out with kids, my dad, friends and the Rockies. I'm not sure how often my daughter (or finding a Starbucks) will let me indulge my internet obsession so I'll be going through withdrawals from y'all. I should be able to post an occasional picture and travelogue. Back mid-August. Geez, limited internet and no sex for over a week! I musta been out of my mind!

consider the no sex/internet thing as a character building exercise. and have a FWB ready to go when you get home, just so you don't build TOO much character.

Carlos does put on quite a show. Saw him back in '82, when he played a venue at the University I attended. The man lives for the passion of the music. That's what makes him so cool and so great. Have a great time in the Rockies, BPB. Cheers!

Have a safe trip....I understand about withdrawals. I'm taking a trip in a couple of weeks and of course thinking "how the hell am I going to keep up here"? Funny how this place becomes a daily fixture and yes, addiction....

I have seen "Carlos" 3 times. The last, Front Row center at the Providence Civic Center, etched into my mind, the "old days" were great, he was literally 15 feet away. A great Live album is Carlos Santana and Buddy Miles Live at the Fillmore East from the 70's. Lots of heart and soul. But then again thats all you expect from him.

Have a Great Vacay. Nothing like the wilderness to cleanse the mind.

totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO what a ride!" Have a wonderful day!

Santana is great. Yet no time for listening to music ...

Today my profile and blog got deleted by passion.com without reason nor notice. No email was sent to inform me either.

Bad news. The friends' network of years is gone. So is my blog.

Why have they done it? More important: What can I do to get it restored?
They may not even respond to email, just ignore them.

My blog disappeared briefly, and it just took a phone call to get it restored.
