An Oath to Camping

I curse you, tent trailer that eats the skin from my knuckles and shins.

I curse you, Coleman stove that flickers out before the water boils.

I curse you, finicky firewood, for letting a little rain deter you from your job of roasting marshmallows.

I curse you, slight smell of mildew from camping trips past.

I curse you, sleeping bag that no longer zips.

I curse you, mosquitoes that whine and bite.

I curse you, fellow hale, hearty campers who noisily rise before the sun to bang your doors, break your camp and brag about the one who got away.

I curse you, pot, for the specks of tomato floating in my coffee.

I curse you, Athlete’s Foot-covered floor of the public shower.

I curse you, muddy, wet floor, for touching my last pair of clean socks.

I curse you, tent trailer that refuses to fold up again.

I curse you, trailer hitch, for moving to the left.

I curse you camping…until the next time.

Camping is a lot of work and hassle..especially when stuff like that happens...I'd rather sleep in a cabin

Yeah, a hotel with room service was so nice as a break from the work of camping.

Haaa! I just got back from camping for three days with my kids...

I hope you're having some fun between all the "joys" of camping

Yeah, being with my kids has been nice. Each of them at different times has reached to hold my hand in the night. I love those tender moments.

i want a 4 star hotel and room service

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Yeah, I've started to waver on my commitment to camping at Burning Man where not only do you have all the normal camping hassles but you need to wear a gas mask to be able to breathe when the alkali winds blow.

Ahhhh! The joys of camping! Reminds me of the song
"What Kind of Fool am I?"

I'll sing a few verses with you. Cuz the camping was MY idea.

Ahhh Camping... Damn I love it so much I sell them.. Of course it really cuts down on my ability to share in the "JOYS" but I make it a point to ask my clients to share their wonderful stories with me then I can "enjoy" camping without actually doing it (much). What you need is a Motor-HOME. LOL

I can't imagine a bad week of "camping" with you being anything less than enjoyable and a good week only better.

totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO what a ride!" Have a wonderful day!
