yet another weekend has past

It was a pretty much non-stop weekend for me. This was my weekend to spend with my daughter, would of never guessed that a 4 year old could have so much energy and with it pouring down rain I couldn’t get outside to get some of it released. I think we read every book she has in your little library, some of them several times, I don’t know if I will be able to speak correctly after reading “Green Eggs and Ham” and “Hop on Pop” three times each. But it will be worth it, reminds me of a quote: PRIORITIES “A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”

Been catching all of the news about 9/11, still pisses me off and brings me great sadness for all of the lives lost on that day five years ago. I remember it so well, I was on my way to Wichita Kansas. Heard it on Q104, Randy Miller made fun of the announcement and ate his words later on. It wasn’t long after that I got transferred to Groton Ct. and was sent out on a deployment with in 3 months, even tho I wasn’t on the ground fighting the war I was under the sea gathering intell from all over the world, the follow three years were some of the longest and most stressful deployments I have ever had.

“You can be patriotic and fly the flag or you can be a patriot and don an uniform to serve your country in this time of need.”
