It's a bad place to be....limbo..even the word sounds weird.

Still no employment, I am about to toss in the towel and say I wasted the past 5 years getting my degree.

I'm not as motivated as I used to be to loose the weight. And I'm even in limbo as to whether to delete the Health Journey discussion group.

I'm in a veryyyyyyyyy limboish (is that a word) mood. I'm not happy, but I'm not sad either. Just sitting on the fence trying to decided to smile or cry.

Perhaps it has to do with my turning 50 soon. Heaven only knows. I gave up on trying to understand my brain years ago.

Maybe it's just the time of year it is. Summer is saying goodbye, autumn is waving hello. Then comes winter. I usually look forward to the cooler weather, this year I'm undecided.

I don't do well with the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas...I dread both. All that hustle and bustle for a few pictures, a full tummy, increased credit card debt and people you don't care to see in your'm a Scrooge huh?

That deserted island is looking better all the time. I really envied Tom Hanks for awhile when he had his

"Limboish" ... I like that. If it's not a real word, it ought to be.

I'm sorry you're feeling down, or at least not up ("limboish"). I think it may have something to do with the weather. I love fall, but we're not quite there yet. It's as if the seasons can't make up their minds. So why should the rest of us?

Finding a job can be hard, but education is never wasted. I know something will turn up eventually. I have a lot of faith in you.

As for the weight loss, remember, the focus should be on getting and staying healthy. The weight loss will take care of itself.

I'm with you on Christmas. You know, I could always relate to Scrooge more than anyone else in that story. And the Grinch, before he converted and got all mushy.

I love Thanksgiving but not Christmas. I'm not sure why. I have fond memories of Christmas as a child, but for some reason, they didn't transfer to my adulthood. Maybe I get my fill of holidays at Thanksgiving and I'm not ready for another one just a month later. Maybe it's because I like the almost-cold weather of Thanksgiving but not the really cold weather of Christmas. Maybe it's because Thanksgiving is easier on my wallet.

I think that's it. It's something you mentioned that I know is coming but I'm dreading: "increased credit card debt." I didn't have that problem as a kid. No telling how many Christmases I'm still paying off.

Don't go anywhere. While everyone else is opening their presents at Christmas, we can share aspirin and eggnog.

Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?

Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?

Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?

Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?

Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?

Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?

Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?

Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?

Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?

Today is a new day!

Many will seize this day.

Many will live it to the fullest.
