Happy Mac

There is no global warming in Hell. As a matter of fact, it's quite frosty here as I report that after 15 years of working in the computer IT field, supporting Windows-based PCs and compatibles, I finally broke down yesterday and bought my first Mac.

Perhaps I'm bi-curious? A sign of the times? All those smug, self-righteous Mac purists drinking their lattes and thumbing their noses at me whenever I used to reach for my arguably superior Sony Vaio? Whatever brought me here, I'm enjoying the Mac experience, drenched in happy, touchy-feely Apple goodness.

For you tech types, it's a MacBook Pro 2.0GHz Intel Core-Duo with 1.5GB DDR2/667 RAM and OS X Tiger 10.4.7. It's delicious. The first thing I did was load Boot Camp and Windows XP Pro.

Maybe my next purchase will be tofu burgers and a Prius. Anything is possible.

So far I'm enjoying it. I've worked with Apples in the past because I used to support them in my last job, so it wasn't completely unknown to me. Sometimes you just need to try something different. One thing about Apples is that they're aesthetically very beautiful, and the operating system is very easy to use. They are a bit more expensive than PCs, however, but definitely worth the price, especially if I can also run Windows on it. I'm still a died in the wool PC tech, but they make a good product.
