Throwin it all away

As the seasons are changing, im cleaning out my clothes closet going thru every article of clothing (which is a lot) and yes, finally letting go of old clothes, worn or in disrepair and realized my favorite pieces are ones of quality, not the 7 dollar t-shirts I managed to garbage up and seen them fade over the summer from Mart-wal.

Im relieved to see these things go making room for things in their proper order for me this winter and it makes me feel happy.

For once, im beng proactive, letting things go and not holding on to them...

why do we do that? How do u know what to keep and what to throw away?

As one that has had an entire life thrown away...Bunny I sense a change that is deeper than just your clothes, deeper than your profile. Funny how this has all lined up...Robert Hienline would be proud

Ok, I have a short beaded skirt that is falling apart and even though I cannot wear it anymore I cannot throw it away. Aspirations it wil repair itself!

When I still lived with my mom, we had a day every season (in Vegas there are only 2: hot and cold) that we go through all our closets and drawers. We'd take out the stuff that's too small or too worn, and put aside for Safe Nest and other women's shelters that ask for clothing. Then we take the stuff that was in storage, wash and put them away. Then we put the other set of clothes in storage. I don't do it anymore since I don't live with my mom. But I also don't throw anything away in hopes of being able to fit in it again sometime soon. (Yeah right)

If I haven't worn it in 6 months, it goes...'cept shoes. You can never have too many shoes.

I am trying to figure out how much of a wardrobe change you have to make. Here it is put all the shorts away, dig out the parka and heavy boots and wait for snow.

One of the bonuses of moving is ditching the crap in your life that just drags you down. I donated my flannels from the grunge 90s, and my 30+ pounds ago pants in the last move. I feel liberated!
