Why is it that boys are SUCH babies when they are sick or get hurt? Sunday my middle son was riding his pocket rocket (little battery powered motor-cycle thingy) and wiped out; ended up with road rash a few different places and needed stitches. So, the whole Mom telling him to be careful thing was ignored and Mom gets to pay (literally and figuratively) for his wipe-out. Like he can't get up and get to the bathroom without help? Or get up off the couch and get his own pain medicine or beverage? "But, it hurts"...Well, no duh....It's gonna hurt ya goof-ball...Suck it up, deal and move on...The longer you sit there immobile, the more difficult it'll be to get moving...But then again, I'll go back to What do I know?? It'll be interesting to see how many phone calls I get at work Tuesday begging me to come home and take care of him...Yeah, I'll rush right into THAT....OY....I know, I lack compassion and caring...

Don't let your past dictate who you are but let it part of who you will become.

Most of the "men" in my family are whiners when they are sick. They claim to be tough and self-sufficient any other time unless they are sick, and then you have to wait on the hand and foot. One of my male friends is like that, too. But he really doesn't know how to take care of himself, he would put the dirty bandage back on after a shower,LOL.

I am a big baby. But I try to keep it to myself as much as possible. It helps to be on my own. Since I am a migraine sufferer it shows more often than not and I'm not proud of it.
