All in the Family

TxRose4UNTX is running this contest for the best DILF. (Dads I would like to Fuck). Actually, there are no Dad’s that I would like to Fuck… I want to be the Dad that all the hot ladies would like to fuck! Anyway, Rose is not so sure that I am DAD. So, today’s post is about my sweet babies!

Actually, they are not babies anymore and haven’t been for a while. The oldest moved out a few months ago. She has completed the education that she wants and has learned a very “in-demand” skill where she applies her knowledge daily. She is passionate about her work and I am pleased that she has found something that makes her happy.

She is a little wild. She loves to dance and go out partying all night. But, she was raised to have a good work ethic and be conscientious so she keeps it in check. Talk about a fun girl! This girl, my girl, is always smiling. She loves to cut-up but knows how to be serious too. (Just like her DAD).

We laugh and cut up a lot and she comes to me with a lot, not all, of her problems. We can talk and I really appreciate that about her. She communicates very well and has learned to trust my judgment enough to listen. She makes her own decisions though and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She is a great person with a lot going on inside her pretty little head.

We do not talk a lot about sex. However, I am under the impression that she has a satisfying sex life. I do not want the details, she is my daughter! I do want to know that she is healthy and happy in this regard though.

My youngest is the male child. Just like his sister, I think we have a really good relationship. We can talk about anything. Granted, he has been a little tougher to raise but it’s been manageable! This one has a mind of his own! He will listen…sometimes. Just do not try to tell him what to do because he is going to do the opposite if he thinks you are pushing.

LOL, The whole family has their cell phone, ring tone, for him set to the “Cops” song “Bad Boys”. I get a chuckle every time he calls my cell. There is my Bad Boy, calling to talk to Dad! He really is not a bad boy though. We just tease him because he is adventurous and somewhat fearless. He is very loyal to his friends and most of their parents seem to like and trust him a lot.

He is sort of the deep and quiet type. He does not say much but when he does speak up, there is substance to what he says. He is an observer and draws his own conclusions. It amazes me at the maturity he sometimes displays.

He graduates from High School in just a few days. I am proud to see him pass this milestone for he is eager to “get on with life” as he says. Not real sure yet where he is headed career wise. He never found much patience for formal schooling but plans to give college a try and is talking about entering the military to see the world and gather some leadership skills. I will support his decision as long as he is doing something productive.

I have always told my kids to find work that they enjoy and someday they will make a decent living at it. My wife and I both have worked hard to instill a good work ethic in them. Thus far, I think that they have both taken well to the instruction. Both of them have held jobs of various types from the time they were 15 years of age and could obtain a work permit. They are good kids…Amendment: good people! I have no doubt that they will both make their mark on the world, in their own way, and in their own time. It’s been pure joy watching them grow. My job is not over and never will be but, it’s getting easier because of “who” they are becoming. Independence is tough for parents. I have had my own struggles but in the end have learned from them to let loose and trust their judgment for their own lives.

Ok, Rose, if that does not “qualify” me as a Dad, then I do not know what will!

Wow Joe what a wonderful tribute to your children made a tear appear in my eye wishing my daughter's father felt that way toward her. Your children are lucky to have you.
