The 'What if' game we all play.

I just started dating this new guy, well not just its been two months,he has 2 kids and always puts them first (as it should be). I can't help but play the 'what if' game. What if one day his kids don't like me so much. What if one day I don't love him as much as I do. What if one day we do go as far as marriage and then his kids start disliking me. People are all telling me to just live for the day, enjoy the day and don't worry about tomorrow.

Yes, the "what if game" can be fun and the most torturous thing ever. Being a single dad of two kids myself I play it alot. Especially when I'm seeing some one. These questions come up in every relationship, it just seems to be more intesified when there are other lives hanging in the balance.
Your friends are right in telling you enjoy the moment. If your like me you also want to know about tomorrow too. I try to get as many moments as I can with my gal as possible and relish every minute. I'm sure your man feels the same way. He loves his kids and you too, now it's a bit of a struggle to get all that to balance. It takes time patience and most of all love. Hang in there, if it's right it will all come together and all will be glad for it. Including the kids.
