Day EIGHT - Step 2 begins

OK, we're on Step 2 of the patch now. 14mgs instead of 21 and I've switched to the generic brand, so I doubt I'll be getting the mood-altering effects. That's ok, I've got my generic xanax; hopefully, that'll make up the difference.
One weird thing has been happening lately and if there are any recovering nicotine addicts out there who have experienced this, too, please write in so I don't think I'm nuts. I've been smoke-free for several days, but yesterday, my mouth tasted very coppery and weird. It was almost like I had smoked, but I hadn't. Any idea where that's coming from? It wasn't as bad today, but still noticable. But today, I kept eating Life Savers, so maybe that's why I didn't notice it.
Anyway; still going strong. I think I just might beat the li'l bastards!

Your body is probably continuing to clear out the nicotine and with the decreased dose of patch, you are tasting it more or you are tasting your own normal body processes because you are beginning to taste again as smoking deadens those poor taste buds.
