Working It

Slow, steady motion.
Focal point on ceiling.
Music and talk fading.
Arms outstretched shaky.
Blink once.
Blink again.
Draw a deep breath in.
Extend my arms.
Pause at the pinnacle.
Steady down.
Count one. (Inhale)
Count two. (Inhale)
Count three. (Inhale)
Pause for one.
Repeat process for 14 more.
Very therapeutic thinking about nothing else than my technique.
I'm in the zone.
NOTHING else is on my mind.
The breath steadies my heart and clears my mind even further.
Sweat beads form faster than I hit on beautiful women (that's pretty fast - just ask them all on AdultFriendFinder)
The circulating air, cooling my skin.
My skin taut.
Muscles engorged with blood.
Vision just a little off... dizzy.

Two days later.
Doms kicks my ass. Delayed onsight muscle soreness.
Hard to shower, shave.
Skin still taught.
Muscles still engorged.
Mind is clear. Added to the effects of my meds.
Depression quickly disapating.
Above all else, confidance returning. That's the best part.

I had taken too long off of the gym. I gained about 8 pounds of fat. I'm not fat, but I'm not lean looking either. It just doesn't matter. I feel better than I have in close to over a year. I feel my body responding to the shredding I've placed upon it, and it feels great. My sleep is finally through the night again w/out interruption. My head is very aware. My caffiene is in half. My energy is slowly rising. My eating is good quality and not pizza. My confidance... I just have to warn you all that it will grow. Once it's back, I will be on the prowl and I will be looking great. This all, my friends, is from workout. I have my goals in place (10 pounds of lean muscle in 8 weeks) and will achieve them. I have a reason to look good. I have to look good. I have a vacation coming up and will not go if I'm not at my best. That's what She deserves. That's what I deserve (for me).

I'm working it, and it will work for me. Today is day two. I have made my before pictures on my webcam. I will share those (I'm fat) and I will make a new pic every week to see if I'm gaining size and strength or if I'm just getting fat.

I miss working out! I was riding my stationary bike all through the winter to *try* to not have to deal with too much saddle pain at the begining of this cycling session but that work is all down the tubes!

I also do the photo thing every week on the same day when I am in training, it is a good tool.

Keep up w/ that bike... you ankle will need the full range motion on it. Do not give up.

The photo thing keeps everything in perspective! I had the photo's but it's what drives me.

Thanks, man! You are right. I love feeling the tight muscles. I can tell you know what I'm talking about. Set the bar? I almost dropped the damn bar on myself last night! LOL - I just can't lift as heavy as I could a half year ago. It amazes me how fast the body can atrophy if not worked.

Great work my friend! Unfortunately the only work out I've had was when "Alter Ego" came out to play.

I have to do something so I look trim, taught and terrific when I go to Vegas in August.

At least you're having fun... My alter ego gets me into fights. I now have to get a dr. to look at my hand, b/c I think I broke it about one and a half months ago... It never turned black and blue, but I now have a small calcium deposit in my pinki knucke... I think I may have put a hairline fracture on the bone.

I think what you're doing is great! But Dude...10# of lean muscle is physiologically impossible in 8 weeks! Unless of course your hittin up with some straight "test". A man under 30 can only put on approxiamtely 10# of muscle in a year - and that is someone that is exceptionally fit!!! WTF? Who told you this is possible?? At'll LOSE 10# of fat without any muscle this what you meant?

You are absolutely correct... Let's put it this way... I currently weigh 172. I want to still weigh 172 in the end of this cycle, while burning the fat off. I am (can't believe I'm admitting this) over 20% bf. I want to be just over 13 or 14 at the end of this cycle. Then, I will start my lean-out cycle which is 12 weeks of calorie restriction and more cardio.
