Weight

I just broke the cardinal rule when it comes to working out. I actually weighed myself in just two short weeks. I weight the exact same as I did two weeks ago.

At first I was pissed, but having gone back and reviewed my past workout journals, I realized that I never see changes until week 3 or week 4. My weight not changing isn't really that big of a deal either, b/c I'm trying to add muscle and bulk up anyway.

I'm going to wait to the half way point (4 weeks) to take another body fat comp done.

I can honestly now say the my energy levels are starting to finally increase. My strength is increasing. My arms are almost the same size they were when I quit lifing a while ago. Muscle has memory. They remember the size they once were.

Oh well, on with my routine!

If you do a lot of exercise to lose weight you will at first put weight on. Or you don't lose any the reason for this is quite simple you start building up your muscles so you put on muscle weight to the same amount of fat that you lose so don't give up it takes 3-4 Weeks before you notice a change.

good luck

Yes, I agree... I'm trying to put weight on and lose fat at the exact same time. It's the hardest to do. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Since I read the post AFTER this one first, here's my smart ass two cents' worth:

"The right thing to do in this particular scenario is for him to just live his life."

See? I told you it was excellent all purpose advice!

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

I tend to lose weight when I stop exercising, my body doesn't carry much fat so I guess it's just the degradation of the muscles.

I would say, yes, your muscles are experinceing a slight atrophy.

Actually...and there are many different thougths on this...you should be weighing yourself once/week at the same time of the day. This way you can adjust you carb and protien intake accordingly. If you want to lose body fat, you should be losing approximately 2#-4#/week. Weighing yourself every day will just make you crazy..but if you don't have a weekly gauge, you'll be wasting your time and your caloric intake will be incorrect. What are you eating anyway?

Well I didn't gain, so I guess that's a good thing...

What if I want to lose fat, while gaining the same weight in muscle?

I eat:

1. 43g EAS Myoplex Original plus one hard boiled egg for breakfast

2. 8oz's of cottage cheese, yogurt, hard boiled egg

3. Boar's Head Turkey sandwich on multigrain plus one HB egg.

4. Another EAS myoplex original shake

5. 8oz chicken breast and wild rice.

6. Myoplex shake

Take out the cottage cheese - replace with two pieces of fruit - apples, nectarines, pears, peaches. Make sure the yogurt is fat free. How much wild rice are you eating? It shouldn't be more than a cup - add green beans. And Yes, you want to replace fat with muscle - but initially that won't happen. You need to check your weight/week to make sure you aren't losing more than 4#/week, that you are just losing fat and not muscle... how much water are youdrinking?

If I take out the cottage cheese, then I'm not getting any protein w/ that meal...

I'm only eating a cup of wild rice. I will add green beans. I'm drinking about 3 liters of water a day.

You're getting protien from your yogurt. I would also suggest that you replace your hard boiled eggs with 3 hard boiled egg whites without the yolk...same amount of protien, no fat.

Ok... I'll give it a try. So, basically, I will be eating roughly 9 egg whites every day?
