Just Be Who?

On my comment-whoring post (accident, I swear) What an honor I heard you all, I did. It's amazing how much people extend their advice to people, on here, in which they don't even know. I'm a complete stranger to you all. I might not even look like Matthew Mcconaughey like my pic might portray... heh... I read, I understood, I replied, but even more, I thought deeply about what I witnessed. Not only do all five of you somewhat love me (come on, what's not to love), you all had a common theme in your desperate (and wonderful) cries fighting my longing desire to depart.

I need to apologize for that post in that I was really trying to extend my deepest gratitude to other bloggers that keep me entertained immensely, and while I thought I conveyed this grand emotion, I realized - through your generous comments - that I was comment-whoring. Tie me up and beat me... please make it erotic though. Maybe sister_act_4_you can spin some kind of poem should she feel inspired by this post...

I digress... What is it that I read over and over and over?? I read, "Aas...Crompn... whatever the hell your handle is, just be yourself". You can read the comments yourself. I beg of you to argue with me! (except for you allsleeky. You are too sweet and I would just continue to agree w/ everything you say)

Has anybody really thought about this sentence? Just be yourself. That's huge. It works. It's what drives millions of dollars into the head industry. (If Zig Ziggler could only read me now) It makes sense, right? Right! Well maybe not... Here comes my cynical side. Get ready.

It is right for those fortunate souls who truly have zero problems. I, for one, was not that lucky. A short re-cap of my life. 1. Wrestled in high school to gain a sense of independence (really to impress the ladies at my huge weight of 103) 2. Went into the military to pay tribute my this incredible country for allowing me to live here (really b/c I wanted to fly to attract the ladies as a fighter jock) 3. Graduated college w/ a pretty impressive major, followed by three minors (to make money in order to impress the ladies) 4. Started an entrepreneur side gig (to make more money to impress the ladies) 5. Got engaged (only to have it end miserably in 4 sweet years) 6. Joined AdultFriendFinder b/c I thought I could impress some ladies... Actually, I can finally say that I know who I am as of 1.34 years ago (not to be confused w/ 1.5). What happened? I got dumped. She didn’t just dump me; I got walked out on. This is when the best thing happened to me. My best friend (male flavor, not to be confused with my female bartender best friend) gobruins64 handed me some material about social dynamics that changed my life.

For the last 1.34 years now, I've figured out who I am. It has taken massive amounts of retraining myself. I've retrained everything from my body language to my club approaches, to how I actually think and feel about myself. Yes, I still have down times, but I've not gone back to the wuss behavior that I once had. The definition of a wuss is one who seeks constant validation, feels that they are not worthy for true love, has overall lack of self esteem, one who thinks the way to true love is to be a yes man, etc... That's who I was. Don't get me wrong, I still st st stutter when I even write to my online crush, but since I'm not perfect I know I don't have a chance anyway.

What am I? I am a guy that is successful in my career. I have reached every single goal that I've set for myself (not a millionaire yet but that's around the corner). I have studied and implemented the type of character of which I would like to portray (you don't see it here on my blog, but in the "real world" I have). Which goal am I currently working on? You know what I have left that I haven't accomplished...

I can finally say that I do know myself. Can you say that??

I have had this struggle with getting to know and like me and myself ... 3 different directions and not one leader. The only good thing is when I masturbate, it's a hell of a 3some!

I am really happy that you found who you are infront of the mirror. I must admit I have come to accept who I am also, and proud of who I am. I wish you well with the dream for the riches, and your crush.

Your comment-whoring efforts pale next to those who shall remain nameless lol!

As for knowing yourself? Yes, I do believe that you are way ahead of most on that one. I am happy to say that I know myself fairly well....what I am at square one about is what I want in life.

Up until now, all my decisions and choices had largely been made by circumstances and things around me. I am truly at a crossroads and it is rather frightening actually. But it's cool too. We'll see what happens next.

One thing is for sure, I will not allow my life to be boring. lol!

Nice post.

I am comfortable with who I am, including my many flaws.

Knowing who I am is a process not an accomplishment.

Otherwise I would cease from journeys of self-discovery and my existence would be the poorer for it.

I can say that I "know" myself.....
but as my life goes on
and I "live" more....

I learn a lot more about myself!

Life's a journey!
Live it.......

Goals? We don't need no stinking goals!

I know myself. Sometimes myself and I don't see eye to eye and I have to give myself a kick upside the head. That usually works when all else isn't working.

Stay the course. It gets easier right? Right...........
valley - LMAO! I'll stay this course... It just took me forever to even find it on the map.

Sister - Wh wh who could it be??

Everything that I wanted for my life, at your age, started changing as well. I called it my quarter-life crisis.

Being at a crossroads can be exhilerating. I was at that stage when I decided to join this site. I could continue to go to bars to meet women, or I could be myself on here...

I doubt that you could be too boring, but what do I know??

I can say that I pretty much know myself... I just don't like myself all that much most of the time. But THAT is what I'm working on right now... liking myself... no, LOVING myself enough to look out for myself. That's a huge undertaking when you've spent a lifetime of NOT doing that.

I think it's wonderful that you've accomplished so much. I have goals, too... but mine are much simpler... like 'keeping my word to myself'. It's fun reaching goals, isn't it?

Good luck with the millionaire thing... you want a new best friend? LOL!
Biggurlz - You should really pick up some self help books. They will whip you into shape! Keeping your word to yourself is the HARDEST to do, NOT the easiest. Why? B/c you have nobody but yourself looking over you to make sure things get done. Keep it up...
