Rest In Peas

Are chick peas meant to be crispy crunchy?

I’ve never made a chickpea salad before, and they’re crunchy. And yes, I did soak them, but they’re still crunchy. Are they meant to be crunchy, or have I made a wee error and will soon be dying a death of chickpea?

One hour later...

My tummy hurts...
Death can not now be far from me.

Farewell, all, farewell…

You know, typically you boil them before eating.
In fact you boil them real good! (gives resuscitation)

They are not suppose to be crunchy. They are soft and you can mush them up with some tahini and make hummus. Next time buy them in a can LOL!!

They don't have canned there? ... cheap and much easier to use/eat ... I love them ... all mushed up with spices and you have hummus dip for pita bread or veggies, very yummmy.

Apparently the depth of depravity here is bottomless... don't you feel right at home?
