Rain Man

Thats what I was called recently by a gentleman i didn't know, cause he was astounded at my memory for dates!
Birthdays I'm wicked good at remembering, I dont know why, but I retain them well.
History thats a guys thing, why do i care when Abe Lincoln died...not too many woman enjoy talking about history, nor have we paid much attention to it!
Although I do know his birthday- Happens to be my great grandmothers birthday...
I was with someone the other night and mentioned his birthday, God knows he didn't even know the month I was born, but I didn't expect him to.
Hes like whats with you woman and stupid dates, you remember them all.
He said to me, I bet u don't know the most important day for America in WWII history....Eeeeeeks I hate to be wrong...
HATE it!
Process of elimination without being wrong is the key here...
"Well its not December 7th."
Thats an important day BUT not for the Americans!
Yea Yea Yea- I knew that.....
Oh lets rewind here.......I'm smashed......LOL god knows how many drinks I had that night...ANOTHER number I'm not good at remembering
I sit here thinking. Oh Man I don't know my History at all....
I need Tom, the guy my sister is dating.....LOL he has a PhD in History and teaches at USF...hes not here, no way to get in touch with him....
I'm throwing something out....and it better be right, or pretty damn close
he decides to give me a hint...June...
Normandy.......
Whoaaaaaaa Nelly Susan is almost right...
she has the name of the day, but hasn't yet proved herself with the actual date!
Kind of pushed that aside....went on to talking about something else....Then I said..
hey you never told me the date....
was it June 6th?
Well hot damn girl- u were right!
Guess I retained more in high school than just a Buzz!

Everyone is good at something - June 6th means something to those who where at Normandy - December 16th for those who fought the Battle of the Bulge... Or any number of other dates - how about when the nukes where dropped?

Don't worry about it!
