i love you?

Love versus falling in love? Oh, I love easily, it’s not a surprise when I tell random friends that “I love you”. However, there is a difference. I might mention here, that I give full trust to everyone at first, and when they prove themselves undeserving, then I remove it. I don’t feel you have to “earn” my respect, unless you lost it and have to gain it back.

When I love someone, it’s because I care about them, I want to know about their day, their lives. I think about them, and hope they are doing well. I don’t judge the person, and accept all their quirks and “flaws” as what makes them unique. They become special in my world, and I like to share it.

When I fall in love with someone, I become vulnerable. I think of them as family. My happiness is theirs, and theirs becomes mine. I no longer worry about censoring what I say, for, I know they will listen, if I say it wrong. I feel that they are going to be there for me, and I will always be there for them. I will stand on that “limb”, and know they are there to hold my hand when I am scared. Being in love, means I am never alone, regardless if the person is physically with me, or a continent away.

Of course, there are also soul mates. I know that my soul has been intertwined with many others. You feel naturally comfortable with a stranger, and have no reason why. You instantly know they will always be a part of your life. It is like being in love, without as much vulnerability. I know there are quite a few souls mates out there, having met a few people I can never live without, they are literally, a part of me.

raven you have indeed put the many shades of human emotions into perspective... I believe being able to love someone unconditionally is sometimes one of the most difficult and yet the most satisfying experience..
