To rich for use...

"She doth teach the torches to burn bright.
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an ethiop's ear.
Beauty too rich for use,
For earth too dear." Wm. Shakespeare

Too rich for use, aye there's the rub. For there upon a pedestal she stands, a marble venus, a stone goddess, a lady of diamonds
and all precious things. Would that she were not so. For only the warmth of true flesh doth give life to precious stones, and only
the sparkle of real eyes doth give fire to the diamonds.

If it were not so, if cold stone could a warm heart make, if crystal carbon could breath life into itself, would I not chose to lose my flesh and fling my pain and pleasures to the stars. And become only light that shines, rather than endure.

But the warmth of thy skin, the beating of thy heart, hath more meaning than all that light. And diamonds are, forever, precious only because of thee.

This is simply beautiful to compare the sparkle of a woman that catches your eyes……….to the object the earth births pressing between her breasts through zillions of heart beats producing one special diamond............but alas aren’t we all special in our way….lovely write
