Word Association ...

...you know, those tests psychologists do where they say a word and then interpret the inner workings of your mind from your instant response.

It came to mind when I was watching the TV the other day and saw an advert for an up-and-coming series of "Rock School": "... Gene Simmons goes back to school".

Gene Simmons ...

Was my first thought about his role in the hugely successful band KISS? Or the somewhat heavy make-up he used to wear in that role?

No.

My immediate memory was of the story I was told many years ago about him having the skin sliced beneath his tongue so that he could ... um ... entertain the ladies even better off-stage as well as on ...

Now, what would the psychologists make of that?

Jx

I have to answer this one, as I am a HUGE KISS fan, He did not have that little piece of skin sliced....
Yes, My Silent Friend, That is his natural state of being!! there are many others who have the same "affliction",
for myself, I would find it a gift to stumble upon in someone!!lol

If you have anymore questions about my personal favorite gods of rock'n'roll, feel free to ask...lol

(and he is just as suave in person)

Well i would come to the conclusion, that you are sex obsessed, and relate everything you hear to sex or sexual acts!

Not that i'm a psychologist...

GBC ... I can't help it ... it's the curious streak in me!

Saintli ... Dedication above and beyond the call of duty merits no more than "ewwwwwwwwww"? I am surprised!

Pinkplaytoyz ... Well, I guess it's better that I know the truth ... but, damn, what a blow! What an affliction too!!

Wacky ... Still waters run deep ... or so I'm told

Hotandhorny ... Are we still talking psychologists here?

Free ... I reckon he'd probably ponder for a while and then say something along the lines of "hmmm ... ve must explore your relationship wiz your mutter"

Papy ... Had it been true, I was thinking of having it done myself! After all, piercings and tattoos are becoming old hat nowadays

What would I think? My first thought is, wow, wish someone had that ability in MY life... that tongue looks talented! My second thought is, hey, YOU must be a pretty great guy to have around, too, if you're interested in such pleasure for me...

I personally, on a psychological stand point, prefer the concept of Freudian Slips. Where some one means to say one thing, but says something else by mistake. I am reminded of the joke about the guy who was at the table eating and ment to say "pass the salt" but made a Freudian slip and said "gosh darnit Mom you screwed up my entire life".

I once had a gal that I was working with rather then say she was going to go to my desk and get a pen, instead she starting saying she was going to go to my bedroom and get a pen. She realized it before she could finish saying bedroom, and starting laughing. We asked her what she was laughing about and she told us the Freudian slip she almost made. I had no choice but to believe in Freudian slips after that one, since she indeed to eventually make her way to my bedroom.

Gussax ... Love the story! Believe me, I've made plenty of Freudian slips too in my time ... and some have been singularly embarrassing too!

Nice to see you in my blog, sir
