BLOG ON! *** Chapter 37

Ty and Linda Washington worked in their yard after watching the UCLA vs. Memphis basketball game. The grass was starting to come alive and grow again. Linda had some pansies she wanted to plant. They both enjoyed flowers, but neither of them had the amount of time to plant and care for all the flowers they really wanted to have in their yard. Nevertheless, every spring, they managed to plant a few flowers in the flower beds and window boxes.

Ty had been unusually quiet as he worked away digging holes while Linda knelt down and planted the flowers. All of sudden, he spoke.

"Linda, I just thought of somethin'. Gotta call the station!" Ty said, dropping his spade as he moved toward the house.

Linda just sighed. She knew that Ty had been thinking about his latest case while working outside. This had happened many times before. She smiled and kept planting and fertilizing the pansies.

"SFPD, Sergeant Rowdy speaking!" Sergeant Bob Rowdy was still at the station desk.

"Bob, Ty here again. I need another favor." Ty knew he could count on Bob to get an important task done for him.

"I need you to run something for me on the California DMV computer data base." Ty told Bob.

"OK, Ty, what is it?" Bob asked.

"I need to know what vehicle or vehicles are registered to G. Alan Sabre of Sunnyvale, CA. I don't have a home address or a Social Security Number, but I think the G. Alan Sabre I'm looking for may have a Ford Mustang, perhaps a 2006 model." Detective Washington explained to the Sergeant.

"If I could have that information on my desk by tomorrow morning when I arrive, I'd really appreciate it, Bob!" Ty continued.

"Gotcha covered, Ty! By the way, how'd the Bruin's look this afternoon?" Bob asked.

"OK, Bob. Our defense was good. Held Memphis to only 45 points. On the other hand, our offense needs to step up and start hittin' their 3's!" Ty explained to Bob.

"Yeah, that's what I'm hearin' from others who got to see it on TV! Oh well, we're in the Final Four!" Bob sounded overjoyed with the UCLA win.

"Gotta go now, Bob! Thanks for your help!" Ty knew he needed to get back outside to finish the project he and Linda had started. The sun was setting, and he figured they had only 10 minutes of daylight remaining.

Did I get that part right? I can't remember exactly anymore? I'll have to go back and look at exact game statistics to get this story accurate. Especially if the movie premier is in Hollywood. Folks there will know the details of the Bruins' games! Will you be my date at the movie premier in Hollywood, Mag? We'll be seated next to Steven Spielberg and his wife.

Probably should say something about their free throws, too! At one point they had some issues with them

I will only go if I can get new Jimmy Choo's and lots of diamonds..

Mag, I'll speak to Steven Spielberg, and see if he can't arrange for you to wear lots of big diamonds during the movie premier. As for Jimmy Choos, I have no idea what that is? Is that anything like gym shoes?

On the Bruin technical stuff, I will go back and clean up the technical details. I have a lot of that to do as I have taken liberties with addresses, zip codes, etc.

Thanks, Mag, for hangin' in all the way and reading this thing. Don't be reluctant to give me real criticism I can use to improve the story or its readability!

I GREW UP WATCHING THE BRUINS, BOBBY ORR, OH YA,,,,
Kat ... We're talking about the UCLA Bruins (men's college basketball team) not the Boston Bruins (NHL professional team). Yep, from New Hampshire, you were probably Boston Bruin fans!
