Sex and the IUD

For those of you who may not know, an IUD is an interuterine device. This is a form of birth control. It's a little T-shaped piece of plastic that is inserted into the uterus and releases hormones, the one I have is good for up to five years. Anyway, these nifty little things have two very fine wires, which are trimmed just outside the uterus. They warned me that my "partner" may be able to feel them, but that they wouldn't interfere with sex. This was on the 3rd, and we've had sex a few times since then, quite a few actually, but last night he stops pumping, looks at me and says, "I feel like something's poking me." I reminded him about the IUD and we continued. Today, however, all he has done is complain about being poked in the head the whole time. I didn't notice it bothering him that much, but you know men, they'll suffer through anything to get off. So, now the goal is to find a position that offers the least amount of discomfort as possible. Any suggestions? There's bound to be other women who have been through this.
At least he can take comfort in knowing he is of substantial length since he can feel it with the head of his penis.
