What is your Heritage?

Were do you come from? What's your nationality?

I was curious. I'm a whole half French, a 1/4 German, & the rest is a mix of Dutch & Native American&????
I think geneology & ansestry is very interesting. The guy I'm seeing right now is a whole half Native American, & it's awesome hearing about his heritage, language, & customs.
A distant cousin of my father's researched my dad's side, back to 3 generations before they came to American. It was very impressive. She told what they did for a living, what they died from, who they married, about their children. I found it by googling my maiden last name.
Have you ever googled yourself?

I'm just curious. What do you know about your heritage? Are there any famous or infamous people in your family tree?

Peace,
Pickles

I'm 3/4 German and 1/4 Irish. I will have to try to google myself and see what I find out. Thanks for the idea!

My family's historian has us all over the place we can even trace back to biblical times through Charlemane the Holy Roman Emperor, lol. As to Googling there is a kid in some sports team somewhere with my name.

I am 3/4's Irish and 1/4 German. I'd google my last name except it would be akin to googling a last name like "Smith". My matnernal side may have very distant relation to Pennsylvania silver company as that is where my Mother's family originally settled before moving to the midwest.

I'm 25% Irish (which is the only ethnicity I can give a percentage on), also varying amounts of Spanish, French, Maya indian, and (from what the family oral history says) some Afro-Antillean too.

Famous people... my great-great grandfather was a locally well-known poet in his day Kids in school still have to learn some of his work.
