I have been wondering lately, whether to tattoo or not to tattoo. I am not even real sure what I would want. But I have been seeing them everywhere, on people I never thought I would, and also watching the 2 tv shows on tattooing. So I am undecided. I don't want something huge or vulgar, just something small, sweet, one that says something or tells what is important to me.

What do you all think? How do you feel about tattoos?

I'll start by saying I don't have any tattoos but as you were saying they're everywhere these days. I have several friends that have gotten one or two or many over the years that they all like. The only complaints I have heard is where they put some and the size. The few females that I have been with while getting one I thankfully talked them into getting a small one hidden away somewhere so they could try out the experience. Some have expanded their collection, others stuck with the small one. My advice is get something you can stand to look at when your 80 and put it somewhere not so obvious in case you don't like it a few years down the road. Plus you can always play find the tattoo if you get frisky and put it in the right spots. Remember you can always have more put on but taking one off is a bitch I hear.

I don't have any tattoos either, yet. It has been something on my mind for a couple years or really more now. I do have a design I like that is personal to me, not too unusual but unique in it's own way. Racingfanof2's advise is pretty sound, something you'll still like at 80 and small, sweet and important to you makes total sense. Try a "henna" tattoo for awhile. They'll last a week or two and give you a chance to try it out, and have it fade away too.

I have been toying with the idea of a small tatoo on the inside of my ankle, maybe a bee, a butterfly, a hummingbirt, etc. I still haven't made up my mind. What racing fan and chef both said is true. Start small, make it something you like, that you can live with. Chef's suggestion of a henna tatoo is a good one.

Hi, I think tattoos are ok but you need to spend a pretty good while thinking about them, what is right for you and who should do it. If not you may end up regretting it. Don't ever put a name on your body unless it happens to be your own or one of your children's names. What are your thoughts about body piercings? I have 3 and I'll let you guess where they are! lmao

I only have my ears pierced, am too afraid to have anything else pierced. The tattoo, well its something I think about often. Not sure what I want... if any. I am a virgin canvas here.

We are thinking about doing tattoo's together too, we are in a debate about what we could get to connect us together as with everything we do! Its fun shopping around and looking into what might work for us and as always we like doing it together, making the decision together. I have the same thoughts about doing something that is important to us and it will be interesting on what we decide on. I think you should shop around and take your time on what interests you have and what might end up being something you have to look at for the rest of your life!
