Hope...hope and more hope...
Without it, where would we be? I have it. Hope for a better future for my kids, hope for my life to even out and find someone to love and be loved by. One would think all you will find on this site is a sex partner or a fuck buddy. Not true. Well, I mean, you find those as well.... but thats not all. There are some real people here looking for the same thing I am.
So, wish me luck....... I am hoping to make a true, loving, long lasting connection.

 Ya know, even a fuck buddy arrangement will turn into something more involved if both people click. It's not the best way to enter a relationship but sometimes, in a moment of bold exploration, for lack of a better metaphor, those sorts of situations end up happening. Whether or not you indulge such situations for their surface net worth or view them as stepping stones to something more involved (you wouldn't indulge something like that if you didn't like the person to begin with), either way it might be a start. It's not for everyone. Sometimes it ends up with mixed feelings, one half of the arrangement cares more about the other than they care in return, hard feelings result. People get hurt. You really need to have your eyes open in such situations.

"Dating" really sucks sometimes, when you're really trying to just get to know someone else well enough to share your thoughts and ideas and secrets, and just get a foot in the door long enough to talk to someone. It's those first steps that are the problem. "Dating" seems so archaic and inadequate sometimes, as if we've outgrown it and would rather cut to the chase and just talk about things without any rituals or expectations of grandeur.

A fuck buddy arrangement is a long way down the road from that sort of thing, I'd think.

 Suzie, I think what you are looking for is what most of us here are looking for. We may have joined AdultFriendFinder for a completely different reason. Somehow, however, in this process, we have found that sex alone is not what it's about and we want the love and caring that should be part of the equation also. Good luck in finding "him".
