Jet-lag. That makes almost no sense. Who comes up with these terms anyway? Is there a group of guys in a think tank that just come up with new words when needed?
“Ok, we have to come up with a new word that means you are tired after a trip, and still used to the time in another time zone.”
“How about just calling it tired.”
“What, that is ridiculous. We need something catchy, something folks will remember.”

I mean the words “jet” and “lag” shouldn’t even be used in a sentence together. That’s like saying, “sprint slow.” “Jet” means to move forward quickly, which accurately describes an aircraft, but “lag” mean to be left behind. So that sounds more like missing your plane, and if you did that, there would be no jet-lag.
