Email introductions

Ok, I was reading something on AdultFriendFinder today about a guy wondering why women would never accept chat requests from him. One young lady made the comment that she never answered chat requires from anyone unless she first received an introductory email from the individual. She stated that it was rude to chat with someone without sending that first.

I had to laugh to myself. Was she for real? That is like not talking to a girl in a night club until she has the chance to read your napkin scribbled message first. Or not talking to your new neighbors without first sending them a letter to introduce yourself.

Am I way off base, or is that indeed the correct way to chat with someone? I'm not saying that I think that young lady was loony, just want to make I didn't miss some new social rule someplace.

I think an email is acceptable before chat. I prefer emails as opposed to chat now a days because an email last longer then a chat in my opinion.

I guess it's really individual's preference. Personally, I don't really feel comfortable to chat with a stranger. Unless I know the person face-to-face, or via email.

Having said that, I hardly ever chat anyway, since I find chatting way too intimidating.

Make it your challenge.... turn me ON!!

You need to take into consideration the number of requests women get. An introductory email does help to weed out the men we know we don't want to talk to. Unfortunately, most men on this site don't think they have to put forth any effort whatsoever towards the women.

I ain't gonna chat with a guy till I at least know his age and where he is..I ain't gonna talk all nite to some 20 year old guy in Spain..what's that gonna get me?..Huh?
If you learn anything about me, it will be that I always love to offer alternatives to every argument. Not to be contrary, but it is just what I do. My profession is to find problems, and offer solutions to fixing them.

I also think I have an unusual prosective. I fully understand the value of an older, more experienced women. I've meet several on an intimate level when in my early 20's. By chatting with young ones, you have the oppertunity to school them on a thing or two. And believe me when I say, when us men are young, they need a lot of schooling...haha

Also, if the person lives in Spain, so? So now you have a friend that lives in Spain. I am not trying to be disrespectful, just offering another point of view. I think I'm just going to make a disclamer for all my posts. haha
