Saturday morning!

It is 39 degrees here in the east at 6:50am and I slept in a bit this morning. Nice to be able to do that on occasion. Have to get my laundry started in a bit, head out to get some breakfast and then just try and survive the day. I sure hope I can get things moving this coming Wednesday when the wife and I have our meeting.
Ok, back in from breakfast, mmmmmm, good too! It is up to 47 and partly cloudy out. I have colored clothes done and put away, whites are in the dryer. Damn, I can do this stuff, even if the wife thought that I could not. In reality, I do not need anyone to do for me, especially if it is going to be held against me later. That is no way to offer help and love to someone. If you find that you can not continue a relationship, then so be it. Just pick up your old kit bag and move on. We all become what we want to be, if that means being dependent, then you have to live with that decision. I would much rather be independent so that I can react to whatever life offers up. Makes for a brighter and less scary future! More should try it.
About mid afternoon, it is nearly 60 degrees and I hear we are in for just mid 40's tomorrow. Oh well, it is better than bitter cold and ice, snow and all that crap. BooHiss, I do not like winter. One of these years, I am going so far south for the winter it will not be below 70 degrees all winter long. Yep, done made up my mind that is what I am going to do. It is called retirement and living easier than when you had to work to get to where you could retire. Yes, that is just the ticket. I have some plans that are beginning to take shape that should make that dream possible. We should all have such dreams, to keep the sad world of today in perspective. Speaking of perspective, I hope you readers out there are still doing your part to save some energy when and where you can. Keep the thermostat in your house turned down as much as you can stand and still keep from catching cold or something. Also, limit your trips in that gas-guzzler you have. My new Camry with the 4-cylinder engine gets about 30 miles to the gallon on the highway. That is a nice thing to have.
Time to put this post to bed and me too soon! Nite, nite, peeps! Be well!
