What I've learned...

I've spent the last 10 months learning about proper eating and exercise, so I'll impart that as much as I can in a series of posts before I leave:


Eat every 2-3 hours. Research shows the metabolism increases with an increased intake. That doesn't mean stuffing yourself with high caloric, low nutrition foods. Rather, it means changing from three gorging meals to 6-8 grazings through the day.


Lifting weight can increase the metabolism for up to two days after setting the dumbell down. Cardio lasts a couple hours and excessive cardio eats up muscle.
