Difference Between Sexes

I know there are many differences between the sexes, so I'm just going to limit this to "feelings".
More specifically, feeling "happy" and feeling "sad".

Last night, Shy asked my if I wanted to grill burgers.
She didn't ask me if I "would" grill burgers, she asked if I "wanted" to grill burgers.

I didn't come from work, dreaming all day about grilling burgers, so I didn't come home "wanting" to grill burgers.
I responded with "I'm not really in the mood, but I will".

If she had asked if I would grill, I would have reasoned, "sure". My feeling would have been the same, not in the mood.

When I give her my answer, she said that she didn't want me to be unhappy.

After a little more discussion, it became clear to me. For her, you are either happy or unhappy. There are no in betweens.
The truth is, there is an in between. It's called "neutral" feelings. Not happy or sad. Just there.

In the end, I didn't grill. Not because I wasn't in the mood, but because I didn't want to "stand up" and "fight" for my position. That's the thing about a neutral feeling. We really don't care, so we just agree.

In case you are wondering, we had Sloppy Joe's, Green beans and Macaroni & Cheese.
