No... not the stuff that they put in chinese food (among others) that fills you up too fast and makes you sleepy.

But, MSG as in McAuley-Schenker Group. They were a metal band out in the 80s best known for a song called, "Save Yourself." I've been thinking about them lately. Wondering where their CD is that I own...and I do own it. I remember there were two songs on there that I loved. Seems like one of the guys was related to one of the Scorpions guys or something....brothers. I think it was the Scorpions.

I've been thinking about them lately because on the song that Ronnie James Dio sings on in the latest Queensryche CD, he sounds like that guy. Or maybe that guy sounds like him...depending on who's older.

So... anyway, am I the only one who knows MSG?

You were right, Michael Shenker was the brother of Rudy Shenker who played guitar for the Scorpions back in the day. They were my favorite band for many years growing up, I have not heard much from them lately. I loved Operation Mindcrime, might give the second installment a try.

As kerrod said, Michael Schenker played for the Scorps many, many years ago. MSG underwent many a transformations over the years. I have a couple of their old cassettes from when MSG stood for the McAuley Schenker Group, which was fronted by Robin McAuley. The songs I remember most were "Love is not a game," and "Here today, gone tomorrow." If you watched the old Headbanger's Ball to the end, you may have caught a vid here and there.

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...
