girls' mentality

So i'm a young man in college, not wanting to form a commitment, because I want the freedom of being single. If I'm romantically interested in someone, I see where it might lead, but with nothing exclusive. I address that it isn't exclusive from the beginning, once things seem it might develope into something more. Few girls would put up with that, for an extended period of time, which is what I would have them do. Now my question is do the girls really accept the non-exclusive thing, or do they put up with it in hopes that the non-commital phase will end shortly? This is assuming they have not and have no plans of messing around with anyone else.

I would be absolutely fine with it, or so I would like to think. As long as I'm aware of the situation, I wouldn't mind. Just don't let me think it's a relationship when it isn't. Which is something I state clearly. I give as much freedom as I want to recieve. I don't often find myself jealous or possesive if that isn't what we are.
