The beginning

I waited on Jay. He and his freinds came to drink at happy hour at least twice weekly. Normally, they were gone by 6:30. He was fun and tipped well. He and his friends seemed to end up in my section often. Didnt seem out of the ordinary at first..... Then he started to stay leter, even after the posse would leave him. He didn't drink more, just stayed and talked. He often asked about my school and my work schedule. One Friday, I came in to get my paycheck, sat at the ba. Jay appeared as if from no where at my side and ordered me a drink. I didn't think it was unusual, but he ordered me a Bronx Cocktail, my usual drink. With extreme deftness, the Bronx's kept coming. If he ever uttered a syllable to order one, I never heard it. but, they were always there: a new one as I put down my freshly empty glass. I noticed him a little more that I had before: His eyes are great and green. His lips are full and expressive. His smile was genuine. I was what he was interested in. It took me 5 cocktails before I realized it. The great green eyes were fixed on me. The lips were reacting to what I said. The smile was there, because I was. He gently touched my ass as I stood behind my bar stool. I leaned back into him. That was the beginning.

Congratulations on hitting it off. I've known other people who've picked up nothing but losers when blinded by their "beer goggles".
