I told you so!

Mood: Vindictive

I used to razz on my roommate about his Pepsi habit. With good reason! The guy can drink like a case in 4 days. It was really gross. Plus I don't think he likes the dentist very much.

So anyway, he was told by his dentist that he was gonna have to have a bunch of dental work done, like several thousands of dollars worth. He has some hereditary degenerative gum disease and he has to have a few teeth capped. He didn't like how much his dentist quoted him, so he went to his best friends dentist to get a second opinion. She quoted the exact same price and she said if he didn't stop drinking Pepsi and eating sugar, like PRONTO, he wasn't gonna have any teeth in like 3 years. They are literally rotting away!

He's all whiny cause he has to use special toothpaste and mouthwash (prescription) because of how bad his teeth are. I wonder how he didn't recognize the fact that he needed to maybe slow down on the sugar, Pepsi, cigarettes, and bad diet. I mean, you take one look between his teeth and you can see that he doesn't take the best of care of them. I think I notice it cause I wore braces for 2-3 years, several retainers, and the last time I went to the dentist, he said that he couldn't ask for a better set of teeth. (Na na na na na! My teeth are super pretty!)

I mean, I quit smoking cause of the baby, I cut down on all the caffeine (Diet Coke and coffee) and I eat pretty healthy regardless, it's just the food I like. I mean don't get me wrong, Ben and Jerry's Karmel Sutra doesn't stay in the freezer very long here, and I love Oreos, but I also love to snack on raw veggies. (I think if anything, I have been craving those throughout my pregnancy. Not a bad thing to crave huh?)

He loves DiGornio pizzas, Ramen noodles, chips, and Pepsi. I rarely see him eat anything else unless his Mom makes something he brings home. I am uber-happy that he can't have sugar anymore. I've been teasing him about how much he consumes since we've moved in together almost a year ago. Also, I'm glad she said to eat better. The dentist said it's part of caring for your teeth is eating healthy stuff and not just cutting down on the sugar. I'm even more so HAPPY FOR HIS TEETH! They may finally get the care they deserve, he has a great smile, he just doesn't take care of it.

*The Hallelujah chorus begins*
