Preemptive Rejection Strike?

LMAO!

I've been on and off AdultFriendFinder for over a year now, and during that time I have always kept my search radius to 20 miles. That pretty much covers the Greater Dayton area and I'm just not willing to travel further than that.

So far this time around I've sent messages to two individuals that I felt might be compatible. The first went unanswered, and the second has led to a very nice woman and myself making plans to meet in a few days.

I checked my email yesterday and found that I had a message here from a woman in Cincinnati. So I logged on, opened the email, and read "I'm sorry, I'm only interested in single men".

.....mmmmkay. What was that all about? Is this woman sending this email to every man at AdultFriendFinder that doesn't meet her criteria? That's an interesting approach. Well I must say that I'm very greatful to know that I need not send an email to someone whom I would have never wanted to contact in the first place.

If there are any other women here that feel that I wouldn't be a suitable partner for them, please contact me and let me know!

I am also sure there are folks in other countries who feel there is not a match between you two as well. Your email box will be busy if everyone applies this approach.

Of course, the obvious retort to "I'm only looking for single men" is "Well, so am I!". But that probably doesn't advance your cause.

Good luck the the one you HAVE made plans with. Let us know how it turns out.

That is pretty weird. It is the first time I have ever heard of that kind of approach (retreat?) oh well, whatever you want to call it.

that's really strange actually, we are used to getting emails like that, although not usually insolicited.....if you know what I mean.

maybe she is trying to make herself out as hard to get for the ones she is interested in but don't quite match

Rather than waste an email.... let me thus prevent any potential efforts on your part.
I am also not interested in married men.
