Dream on

I should be fast asleep as I've got a long day ahead, including a big chunk of travel, and I've only had about 5 hours' sleep in the past 48. But..my wonderful fire detection system, insisted on by my insurers (bless 'em), decided to trigger at 00.30 for no apparent reason as I'm still here to type instead of looking deep and crisp and even. Then some bastard wakes me with a phone call at 02.30; now I'm shattered yet awake and even hungry. What's that about? So, time for a little anarchy in the monarchy.

Dalí's not my favourite artist but he opened and broadened the popular eye and imagination so kudos for that. Plus, he was as mad as a kipper and that's never a bad thing in my book. I don't think any truly creative person can avoid a soupçon of lunacy, and surreality is one of my favourite things, as certain people here will (albeit sometimes bemusedly) vouch for My favourite of his is the rhino in Marbella, which has a brilliant 'just fuck off' expression on its face. I'd look the same if I had to live there.

I'm off to count e-sheep and if you don't know what they are, then you should.

Mm, just love a good kipper! There's hope for me yet then? Always considered myself to be somewhere between barking, howling and ludicrously riddiculous. Suppose on your kipper scale of genious I'm a kettle of an altogether different kind of fish.Don't do silly very often, prefer taking the riddiculous to another level and then some, the view is fantastic. But it's all true Queenie, from the mouths of babes and fools comes the purest wisdom.Dali isn't my cup of leek soup either, but he was certainly in a league of his own and there's nothing wrong with that.
