I'm not sure what I should be more concerned about ...

... that my ten-year-old is a Dukes of Hazzard fan ...

... or that he's a fan of Jessica Simpson's boobs.

I took him to see The Dukes of Hazzard yesterday because he said he wanted to see it. I confess, I'm a big fan of the TV show; it's been a guilty pleasure of mine for a long time. The movie pretty much sucked.

My son's "YEE-HAW!" was louder than anyone else's in the theatre. That's a side of him I hadn't seen before. He's usually more of a Bionicle/Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh! type. It was fun seeing him have such a good time, but it makes me wonder what else is going on inside that head of his.

Then Jessica Simpson appeared, and he said ... well, never mind what he said. I knew he knew certain words. I didn't know he knew certain others.

As Jed Clampett used to say, "Someday I've gotta have a loooooong talk with that boy." Only someday is now.

Yes, mizzkitka, I've always spoken openly about things with him, and I'll continue to do so. It's just that lately I've been finding that his ability to gain knowledge is outstripping my ability to explain things to him. Should be an interesting few years ahead for both of us!

Love the compliment.
